Our story

From consulting practice to power and infrastructure company

Bold New Solutions was formed in Delaware in 2015 by Lu Bolden, William “Bill” Newby and Chad Fister. Lu and Bill met flying together in the United States Air Force in 1992. After the sale of CSI Digital, the IPTV integration company Lu co-founded, BNS began as a consulting practice of industry veterans helping telecom, cable, media and entertainment companies solve business and technology challenges. That heritage in strategy, technical evaluation and software delivery still shapes how we listen before we build.

The company’s mission sharpened as it grew. The acquisition of Cadick Corporation brought four decades of electrical engineering, maintenance and training expertise. Carolina Power Systems added marine switchboard manufacturing for Navy and Coast Guard shipbuilders, and together they became BNS Power. In 2025, the acquisition of Sphaera created BNS Networks, an infrastructure lifecycle division founded by data center operators. Today BNS powers and connects the environments where failure is not an option.
