NCTI Debuts Electrical Safety Training to Assist Employers in Efficiently OSHA-certifying their Workforce; Additional Courses to Follow

Centennial, CO. and Fort Lauderdale, FL., Feb. 22, 2024 – NCTI, the premier training provider for broadband and pay-TV professionals in the United States, and BNS Inc., a strategic business, technology and engineering services company that brings diverse expertise to solve complex challenges, today announced their content partnership to bring a line-up of electrical safety training courses to the NCTI online curriculum. The first course from this partnership will be the Electrical Safety Training for Non-Electricians.

In partnership with NCTI, this course is being developed as a modular, self-paced, interactive online course, and is designed to improve electrical safety awareness and provide a foundation of elementary electrical principles and life-protecting procedures. It includes graphic animations on important processes, interactive knowledge checks to ensure the student understands important concepts, relevant images common to the electrical profession, and content created and approved by some of the most highly respected and experienced experts in electrical safety. This course is being built for electricians and anyone working around electricity, and for technicians in the broadband, telecommunications, and wireless industries.

Stacey Slaughter, CEO of NCTI, shared, “We are excited to partner with BNS as this is the first time we are offering electrical safety training as part of our course library. This initial much-anticipated and much-needed course, developed by skilled and experienced electricians, will help our customer’s workforces with their OSHA certifying needs. We look forward to developing additional courses with BNS on power system safety, engineering, operations, maintenance and more.”

Lu Bolden, CEO of BNS, added, “The ability to bring the cumulative electrical engineering knowledge of Cadick Corporation to the NCTI community in such an efficient way is a major milestone for the industry. NCTI is the perfect organization for us to partner with so we can educate life-long career learners at the highest levels. The Electrical Safety Training for Non-Electricians is just the beginning.”

Marc Cohen, NCTI Board Member and BNS Advisory Board Member said, “Without a doubt the BNS team has unparalleled expertise to present the information that broadband and wireless professionals need to know about electrical safety. The NCTI model is ideal for companies to enhance the overall expertise of its workforce and individuals who want to advance their careers. We welcome BNS as a content development partner.”

NCTI will feature a sample of the Electrical Safety Training for Non-Electricians course, currently under development as an online option, at the NCTC Winter Educational Conference in booth 310 where visitors can express their interest.
