The challenge

The client required a fully operational 2.5 MW data center environment built from an empty shell, supporting immediate colocation requirements while providing the foundation for future expansion. Six weeks to transform empty space into a production-ready environment meant every phase needed to execute smoothly, with no rework and no waiting on materials or decisions.

The design needed to balance immediate requirements with future flexibility: power distribution that could scale, cooling that could adapt to changing density, and structured cabling that would not constrain future technology decisions.

Our approach

BNS Networks executed a turnkey build-out covering every aspect of data center infrastructure. The design incorporated Hot Aisle Containment for thermal efficiency and 25 Remote Power Panels to provide flexible, scalable distribution across the floor.

The build proceeded in carefully sequenced phases: power first, then cooling, then structured cabling, with commissioning and testing integrated throughout rather than left to the end. Issues were identified early, when they were easy to address.

Outcomes

What the client got

  • 2.5 MW capacity delivered on schedule
  • 25 RPPs operational with flexible distribution
  • Hot Aisle Containment meeting design efficiency targets
  • Zero punch list items at handover
  • Full documentation package delivered
  • Ready for immediate colocation deployment
