The Challenge
The client required a fully operational 2.5MW data center environment built from an empty shell. The deployment needed to support immediate colocation requirements while providing the infrastructure foundation for future expansion.
The timeline demanded efficiency without compromise. Six weeks to transform empty space into a production-ready data center environment meant every phase needed to execute smoothly, with no rework and no delays waiting for materials or decisions.
The design needed to balance immediate requirements with future flexibility—power distribution that could scale, cooling infrastructure that could adapt to changing density requirements, and cabling infrastructure that wouldn’t constrain future technology decisions.
Our Approach
BNS Networks executed a turnkey build-out covering all aspects of data center infrastructure. The design incorporated Hot Aisle Containment for thermal efficiency and 25 Remote Power Panels (RPPs) to provide flexible, scalable power distribution across the floor.
The build-out proceeded in carefully sequenced phases: power infrastructure first, then cooling, then cabling, with commissioning and testing integrated throughout rather than left to the end. This approach identified issues early when they were easy to address.
Work Undertaken:
- 2.5MW power distribution infrastructure design and installation
- 25 Remote Power Panel (RPP) installations
- Hot Aisle Containment system deployment
- Structured cabling to BICSI standards
- Cooling infrastructure integration
- Full commissioning and testing
- As-built documentation package
Technologies & Standards:
- Hot Aisle Containment
- Remote Power Panels
- BICSI-compliant structured cabling
- Comprehensive commissioning protocols
